CARTA (Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority) is the city bus service. DASH (Downtown Area Shuttle) and Tel-A-Ride
are other CARTA services. CARTA is bicycle friendly. Service to/from Charleston International Airport is available. Call (843)
724-7420 or visit www.ridecarta.com for schedule and fare information.College of Charleston students, faculty, and staff ride for FREE on all CARTA routes. Geography The Charleston peninsula is basically divided into three sections: Downtown, Northwest and East. The College of Charleston is located in downtown Charleston.
